  • Overview

    We are currently looking to hire a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our Children's Unit - Tooele here at Valley Behavioral Health. This unit serves adults with a variety of mental health and substance use disorders who are involved with the criminal justice system.


    What does our Licensed Mental Health Therapists Do?

    • Provide individual, group, mental health and substance abuse therapy for children
    • Provide individual, group, mental health and substance abuse therapy for children
    • Respond professionally as your provide compassionate, proactive, crisis intervention for walk in clients as well as responding to individuals who call in crisis requesting services or needing emergency intervention.
    • Availability to facilitate evening groups is required
    • Timely documentation using our Online Medical Record
    • Ability to act independently
    • Enthusiastic problem solver
    • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and apply general, evidence-based principles to specific conditions
    • Set and keep your scheduled appointments

    • Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited University/College
    • LCSW/CMHC/ACMHC/LMFT/CSW license current in the State of Utah]
    • 2 + years’ experience preferred
    • Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Office as well as the ability to learn new software programs quickly
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
