    We are searching for a friendly, responsible bus driver for the Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center of Learning.  Drive children with autism and other disabilities to and from the Center. We bring students to and from school each day as well as driving them to off-site events during the school day.
    You will not be alone!  This position works cooperatively with multiple, extremely talented and dedicated staff who will accompany and assist with behavior management on the bus. 
    Location:  780 South Guardsman Way, SLC  84108 (near U of U campus)
    Schedule:  40 hrs: M-F

    • Transporting students to and from Carmen B. Pingree Autism Center for Learning
    • Work cooperatively with extremely talented and dedicated staff who will accompany and assist with behavior management on the bus.


    • 3 years of related experience minimum.
    • Copy of driving record will be required.
    • Valid Commercial Utah Driver License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus Endorsements. 
    • Ability to pass a BCI (background screening)
    • No DUI's
    • Able to be insured as a school bus driver.
    • Must be able to pass state mandated physical assessment verifying ability to drag 125 lbs 50 ft in 30 seconds and lift 50 lbs and carry 35 ft in 30 seconds.
    • Also verifying ability to climb up and down stairs and look under bus seats.
    • Experience working with children with autism is helpful but not required.
    • Must be a dependable, patient individual who enjoys working with children with autism and their families.
    • Team and service focus paramount.
