    There is a place where women suffering from addictions can go to get help while keeping families together.  Are you passionate about giving a child a chance in the world?  Change the lives of women who suffer with substance use disorders who have nowhere else to turn. Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Female Family Care Worker to work part-time for our ValleyPhoenix. This program provides women with the help they need while allowing them to keep their dependent children with them. The children receive early intervention resources provided by the Case Manager. You can change lives, heal families and enhance communities.

    Schedule:  Swing Shift - 4pm-12am. Must be able to weekend shifts as needed
     
    Location:   Midvale, UT  84047
     
    Pay:  Commensurate with experience

    Responsibilities

    • Modeling and teaching basic life and parenting skills
    • Facilitating groups for women and children as directed
    • Working directly with children in a preschool like setting, while mothers are in treatment
    • Maintaining the house overall milieu
    • Monitor residents when taking their medications
    • Ensure a safe environment

    Qualifications

    • Dependable employees who are interested in working with women who are in residential treatment for substance use and whose young children attend treatment with them.
    • Only female applicants eligible due to drug-test monitoring and all-female facility
    • Excellent boundaries and good judgment required.
    • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, reliable and work well as a member of a team.
    • Preference will be given to Applicant who have basic knowledge of children’s mental health issues and experience dealing with challenging behaviors.
    • 21 years or older
    • Ability to pass a background check
