Are you passionate about making a difference in the life of seniors with mental health issues? Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, mental health therapist to work with a multi-disciplinarian team to provide mental health services in our Masters Senior Services Clinic to provide individual and group therapy and assesments  for those 55 and older who have a mental illness.    
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week 
Location:  1020 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84101-3194
Pay:  Commensurate with experience

  • Provides psychotherapy to clients including individual and groups therapy
  • Treatment planning, Care coordination, Documentation
  • Knowledge of different evidenced based practice of psychotherapy, including crisis intervention skills; general personality development theories; typical community agencies, organizations and programs
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team of case managers, therapists and medical staff

  • General knowledge of psychiatric and psycho-pharmaceutical treatment of mental disorders

  • Accepted standards of social work ethics and clinical practice
  • Ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis or other situations
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing


  • CSW, or LCSW, license current in the State of Utah
  • Must demonstrate compassion and flexibility
  • Ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis or other situations, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and apply general principles to specific conditions
