Are you passionate about making a difference in a someone's life? Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, mental health therapist to provide therapy services in our North Valley Outpatient Clinc which provides a full range of mental health and substance use services for residents of the north side of Salt Lake County.    
 
Schedule: 20 hours per week 
 
Location:  1020 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84101-3194
 
Pay:  Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

  • Direct clinical services including interviews, evaluates and assesses clients to create treatment plans and provide quality care
  • Provides psychotherapy to clients including individual and group
  • Treatment planning
  • Care coordination
  • Documentation
  • Crisis intervention
  • Effective interviewing skills and evaluation techniques
  • General knowledge of psychiatric and psycho-pharmaceutical treatment of mental disorders
  • Principles and techniques of behavior assessment and modification
  • Knowledge of general psychological principles and concepts
  • Skill development therapies
  • Accepted standards of social work ethics and clinical practice
  • Ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis or other situations
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Qualifications

  • CSW, or CMHC, ACMHC, LCSW, license current in the State of Utah
  • Must demonstrate compassion and flexibility
  • Ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis or other situations, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and apply general principles to specific conditions
