We are seeking a full-time, compassionate and skilled Behavioral Aide to join our DBT team in Salt Lake City. This position is for someone who enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with some of the area’s youth in greatest need of our help.

 

Location:  1141 East 3900 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84124

 

Schedule:  Monday – Friday; 8-5

 

Starting Pay: $13.00/hour

DBT Day Treatment is a program working with youth ages 12-17 who experience severe emotional disturbances. The purpose of the program is to help these teens acquire skills to manage emotions and behavior through learning and utilizing DBT skills. The team at DBT Day Treatment is dedicated to providing services to teens with some of the greatest needs in developing skills to help them succeed at school, home and in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Close supervision of adolescents in the program
  • Facilitate groups
  • Support clients through emotional or behavioral crisis utilizing DBT techniques
  • Assist with behavior management (including follow through) and the creattion of behavior plans
  • Completion of daily documentation and billing using our electronic health record

Qualifications

  • 2+ years’ experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health program, and/or with kids who experience mental health and behavioral issues
  • Knowledge and experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
  • Basic computer skills and efficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new applications easily
  • Able to pass a background check, drug screen, and transportation requirements
  • Experience facilitating groups
  • Ability to work well as a member of an interdisciplinary team
