Overview

We are seeking a flexible, dedicated and fun Social Service Worker / Adolescent Counselor to work with with our adolescent day treatment program. Our ASAP (Adolescent Substance Abuse Service) Program is a day treatment program that address risks factors and build protection among individuals, families, peers, and communities using a variety of evidenced –based interventions to focus on skills replacement and skills enhancement.  Clients are involved in individual, family and group therapy weekly along with schooling.

Location:  1141 East 3900 South Salt Lake City, Ut 84124
 
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
 
Salary:  Commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

 
  • Supervise adolescents
  • Lead groups
  • Behavior management in both group and individual settings
  • Transportation of clients
  • Collect UA’s
  • Work with outside agencies

Qualifications

 
  • Utah State issued Social Service Worker (SSW) License
  • 2+ years experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health program, and/or with kids who experience mental health and behavioral issues
  • Basic computer skills and efficiency with MS Office and ability to learn new applications easily
  • Pass background check, drug screen, and transportation requirements
  • Group experience
  • Problem solving skills
