This is a full-time, demanding position that will support the Medicaid department. Medicaid Team provides a personal and stress free environment for clients who need assistance in applying for state benefits.  As a part of the Medicaid Team you will have a unique opportunity to work with all the programs throughout VBH for a unique and exciting work experience.

Schedule:  M-F; 8-5
 
Location:  1141 East 3900 South Suite A180 Salt Lake City Utah 84124  
 
Pay:  $13.50/hr

Responsibilities

  • Assist new and existing VBH clients in obtaining Medicaid, Food Stamps, and General Assistance
  • Verify eligibility (check status) of Medicaid for clients, VBH staff, and other community partners.
  • Assist clients with the Recertification process for Disability Medicaid program.
  • Track and monitor application status
  • Work with DWS/VBH worker on monthly Reviews
  • Verify correct county of services…Make changes as necessary
  • Keep up to date on Medicaid policy changes that affect VBH clients
  • Work with a varied population, children, adults and seniors with mental illness

Qualifications

  • Experience in working with Utah Medicaid, Food Stamps, and General Assistance
  • Understanding of Medicaid policy
  • Understanding of Social Security Benefits
  • Proficiency using MS Office, learn new software programs quickly
  • Knowledge of community resources
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a real plus but not required!
