Overview

Are you passionate about being an instrument of change in the world? There is a growing epidemic of adults who need help.  Valley Behavioral Health is seeking a graveyard Case Manager for our CORE programs.
 
CORE is a 16 bed Residential Program for Adult Men & Women in Salt Lake serving who are SPMI, in the criminal recidivist populations with a variety of psychiatric and substance use disorders. This position will change lives, heal families and enhance communities.  You will LOVE working with this team of fun, dedicated, compassionate care givers at Valley Behavioral Health
 
PRN means "as needed" - when a full-time case manager is out for any reason, we call the "PRN" staff to "substitute" for them.
 
Location: 2 Locations
                1. 1228 South 900 East SLC, UT 84105 (Womens Location)
                2. 443 South 600 East SLC, UT 84101 (Mens Location)
 
Schedule:  PRN positions - Either 8am-4pm, 4pm-12am or 12am-8am

Responsibilities

  • Protect and monitor clients living in a residential support unit and/or other residential programs serving individuals with persistent and serious mental and substance use issues.
  • Respond to resident concerns
  • Document interaction with clients
  • Monitor residents when taking their medications
  • Ensure a safe environment
  • Help facilitate a variety or groups
  • Other duties may be assigned

This is a great way to get your foot in the door for other part-time or full-time benefited case management positions in both Valley CORE and throughout other Valley departments. 

 

Qualifications

  • Must be inspired by helping others.
  • 2+ years of related experience and/or education in the healthcare field
  • Utah state Case Manager Certification or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
  • Excellent boundaries and good judgment required.
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, reliable and work well as a member of a team.
  • Able to document interactions and groups with clients
