We are looking for an exceptional, team-focused, enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Mental Health Therapist. This is an exciting and rewarding position that will support a child with behavioral and emotional challenges as well as their family in the prevention of a more restrictive mental health placement.

Schedule: M - F, 20 hours/week
 
Pay:  Commensurate with experience
*Fully licensed candidates are eligible for a $500 sign on bonus! 
 

 

 
(ACES) Acute Children’s Extended Services  is a partial day treatment program serving children from the ages of 5 – 12.  This program provides individual and family therapy, social skills training, and rehabilitative services to children needing more behavioral health support than just outpatient treatment.  Children are in the program for 12 weeks.  Clients are transported to the program following their regular school day.  The program’s hours are 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm daily, Monday through Friday. 
 
(KIDS) is a short –term, intensive day treatment program that provides behavioral health services to children and adolescents in a structured and supportive environment. Clients and their families receive individual, family, and group therapy. Medication management services are also available when indicated. Average length of stay is 8-10 weeks. Program hours are 9:00 am – 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Direct clinical services including interviews, evaluates and assesses clients to create treatment plans and provide quality care
  • Provides psychotherapy to clients including individual, group, and/or family therapy
  • Treatment planning
  • Care coordination
  • Documentation using our Electronic Health Record
  • Crisis intervention
  • Effective, evidence based interviewing skills and evaluation techniques
  • Knowledge of different modes of psychotherapy, including crisis intervention skills; general personality development theories; typical community agencies, organizations and programs
  • Evidence based principles and techniques of behavior assessment and modification
  • Knowledge of general psychological principles and concepts
  • Skill development therapies
  • Accepted standards of social work ethics and clinical practice
  • Ability to act independently, respond professionally and calmly in crisis or other situations, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, motivate and train others, and apply general principles to specific conditions

We have a well trained and caring staff of therapists, psychiatrists, case managers, social workers and medical staff. Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a Doctorate in Psychology from an accredited University/College
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Certified Social Worker (CSW), Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CMHC), Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor (ACHMC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist license current in the state of Utah
  • Experience working with children ages 5-12
  • Effective interviewing skills and evaluation techniques
  • Knowledge of different modes of psychotherapy, including crisis intervention skills
  • Principles and techniques of behavior assessment and modification
  • Knowledge of general psychological principles and concepts
  • Experience with Evidence Based interventions (TF-CBT, DBT, PCIT, EMDR, Play Therapy, Therapy) preferred. 
  • Proficiency using MS Office with the ability to learn new software programs quickly
